Incredible Irises
Rows and rows of irises. Possibly the happiest of all the plants we have in our soggy, thick, clay soil. We planted them close to the outer walls and they’ve done a fantastic job of filling up the lower spaces as the hedge climbs up the fencing.
And when they start flowering, they’re a sight for sore eyes.
It does help that purple is my favourite colour 😀

Gli Iris sono i miei preferiti! Ho una nostalgia pazzesca di casa a Maggio perché so che loro stanno fiorendo. Noi li abbiamo lungo tutto il perimetro del muro e lungo la riva che prima era vigna, di tanti colori, e sono talmente tanti da creare una siepe di fiori… Basta ora piango 😦
