I wish you could smell how wonderful these daffodils smell. I wish I could invite people over so they could see and experience them. I wish I could pick some and take them to my students’ mother, who loves them.. but I can’t. The only thing I can do is sit here and admire their simple beauty for everyone that is stuck in a much less comfortable house than me.
A geranium, abandoned to itself for the winter, has come back in full bloom!
I’ve decided to take a break from our Peru trip (that took place last month) for a much needed covid_19 post: here we are, locked in our homes in Barcelona and they couldn’t have chosen a better season 🌸 #fullofdaisies #flowerpower #flowermagic
And of course, ceviche. I was so so happy about the abundance of cilantro (coriander, aka culantro in Peru) in nearly every dish they made because I am serious addicted to the stuff. Didn’t like the raw red onions though, but they were always easy to put aside.
Yucca croquettes, tacos and chicken wings with the best peruvian sauces as dips. YUM.MY!
Food! Omg the food in Peru was so much more than just ceviche (which was also very good). Here it was one of the first days and we all ate different dishes so we could explore the menu better. This was a breaded cutlet with scented rice, a fried egg and a fried banana and a crunchy sweet potato. Delish!

You can see just how big the sea nettles were 😨😱 imagine seeing them whilst snorkeling!!
Giant sea nettles washed up by the dozens on the beach in Paracas, Peru, ever low tide. I find them quite beautiful.
