Canary Cats

We went to Tenerife and, besides the volcano, the snow, the black beaches, the cactuses, the bicolored lizards, the flowers and the seafood, we also saw a group of cats. And this group of cats is what I will start my posts of Tenerife with.

Good idea, no?

There were four of them, maybe one mother and three grown kittens. They came out when we parked the car – I suspect someone came by regularly to feed them.

The older black cat, possibly the mother, was emaciated and nearly completely blind. It looked as if she could see shadows, but not much more. The colony was very tightly knit.
