Rumbo al Norte – Day 1: a bit of nature

What surprised me most in Guimaraes, apart from the beauty of the city itself, was how well it was being taken care of.The roads were spotless, the houses clean and the gardens impeccable.

At the outskirts of the old city, we found a whole square full of maples.

I was awed by huge, HUGE camellia trees (trees!) that soared way above my head (I had no idea they could be that tall!)

And after that I realised how humid it must be. Especially after seeing these two trees…

Simply magical.
