Sketching Otters
I worked with otters for a year, in Portugal, studying their behaviour and ecology.
Sketching them was incredibly fun, although I did it from photos – I’m not good at live drawing. Yet.
Every year I try to send out handmade Christmas cards – about thirty are made and sent around the 12th of December. When possible, I like the card to reflect something that has happened during the year, and that year otters were the theme.
I tried sketching some to find the perfect subject for the cards… this one won.
The ferocious one chewing on a gingerbread man was also among the finalists but… I was told it was a bit too gruesome for a Christmas card!!
