The easiest pasta sauce yet

Broccoli.

Not a hit in this household until we became a foster home for three lovely rats – Khloe, Kourtney and Kim. I did my research and discovered that although they prefer other veggies, broccoli are among the best. So out I went and bought a basket of broccoli.

Then I checked how much I should give them.

Very, very little was the answer.

Being the person that I am, I wasn’t about to throw the broccoli. So, taking advantage of boyfriend being out for lunch, I made myself pasta with broccoli – it was so easy I felt as if I just had to share 🙂

These are the ingredients. Together with the usual oil, salt and pepper. The font is epic because, you know…Game of Thrones.

Chop up and boil the broccoli in salt water for not more than 5 mins – they have to be tender but still firm.

In a pan put a spoonful of oil – you can use chilli oil, to make it more interesting – the garlic and three anchovies (for one person). Cook until the anchovies start to dissolve (2-3mins)

Lightly strain the broccoli (if there’s some water left, even better) and sautée them with the sauce you made

In the meantime, boil the pasta according to the directions on the box. Strain it and…

…add it to the pan with the broccoli mix…

Et voilà! You’re done. Simple, fast and healthy – what more do you want?!

Once in the serving plate you can add, to your liking: ground pepper and fresh oil (spicy or non)

Enjoy!
