Palacio Longoria – the stairwell

This is probably the reason I woke up so early and stood, waiting in queue, for two hours before managing to get in Palacio Longoria (see my first post for more info). However, it wasn’t the only reason I would return… (see my next post, in a few days 😉 )

I had glimpsed the glass dome last year when I went in the building and asked if I could look around before being politely kicked out. And ever since then, I knew I had to go back!

Here it is, in all its glory. I really loved the dome, but thought the glass “eyes” in the bannister and the stars on the ribs, or rods, of the actual glass structure.

So, so beautiful.
