As some of you know, one of my favourite things when I travel is going to see the local market. Not any market: the fish market.
Why? Simple. Because here you can see an array of animals that are completely different than the one you see at home. You can understand a tiny bit more about the people’s culture and customs, and you can tell how accepting they are of tourists. In Martinique, no one even noticed me. In Tangiers, I had to literally duck under the stalls to take photos because the looks I was getting were not of the friendliest.
In Oman, however, everyone was relaxed and never flinched when I asked if I could take a photo. Because I always ask.
Then I do whatever I want. But I ask first.
